Egg cup for breakfast

Today  Our class made egg cup for breakfast I didn't want to eat my one because I ate my lunch at home before I came to school. This was a Chemical change how we made the egg cup. We had beans, bread, butter, muffin tray and egg. The tray of egg cups went into a oven it got cooked and our class ate it some people I didn't want it. The chemical change was the egg you couldn't reverse it because it was raw then now it's cooked how can you make it raw again you can't!

Diwali T4W1

Walt:understand celebrations around the world.

Diwali is a 5 day festival. There are different things you do each day. Diwali is a Hindu festival. It is the most popular festival in India.

My friend Sami and I made this rangoli pattern. Our class worked in pairs.  First we had to draw our rangoli pattern on our paper.  When we are finish we drew our Rangoli pattern outside the door.

Diwali is also a light festival, you put lights around your house. On the first day of Diwali people clean their houses to welcome their god. On the second day the mum buys new stuff.

On the third day they make sweets on till the last day. On the fourth day they make Rangoli patterns at the door to welcome people into their homes.

On the last day they eat the sweets and the brothers and sisters put stuff on there forehead and then they give them sweets and the brother gives a gift to his sister.   

The children only is allowed to do fireworks for Diwali.

           

Learning to use a compass drawing concentric circles

Today in my class we learnt how to draw a compass. It was easy we measured 2 to 6 and and we drawed circles 6 of them then we had to draw a diameter line so we could measure how long was the circle we. We used coloured pencils to draw circles. The compass of the sharp part you have to poke it into the book of the center. I did 7 lines because I didnt know we had to draw 6 lines.

Consolidation

This Is what our class does we make a word for the day. We write what's the opposite, synonym, root word, words for it, and the meaning. This word is Consolidation this is a word that describes a thing strong or solid.

Today in my class we had to write something about a picture. We had to split into 3s wait for the stop watch to beep. We pass it around so we all could write. My group was writing about the elephant with butterflies ears that was interesting so on the last timer we had to write the conclusion after that we had lunch because the bell went.

Warriors

On Thursday in the Hall visitors came to our school they play for the Warriors. Their Names were Zack, Junior and ambassador On of them spins the wheel and it goes to one of the words. It was fun playing a game with them. 

Tonga

I learnt what was ten and eleven in tonga. Hongfulu and hongfulu ma taha. This week we are learning tonga language. I saw Tongas decorations at the office I like it because there are many decorations and I like what they put at the office. I saw stuff what they do at tonga they their were kava and tonga oil and more other stuff.

On 23 August we started doing puns it was funny. My pun is leaf my alone, donut talk to me. Leaf means leave and donut mean do not I liked coloring my paper of pun. Its fun I like drawing at my own time at school. This picture is going on the wall of my class. I me whole class did one and I want to read there puns. It was a brain wash.

Rugby team

On Tuesday there were two rugby players that came to coach us it was fun. It was there brake day but they decide to coach us one of them was fijian there names were Josh and Ben they were so cool they helped people what they didnt know what to do ben teached me how to tackle and now I like tackling. My Favorite part in training was the clapping game.     

Matific

Today I played Matific and I got 1000 when my class went out for netball. on this picture I did Four operations game it was kinda easy for me to finish 5 stars when I did it the second time I got 5 stars on the same one. Now have 13 cards on Matific and I got 98 stars.

Comic Simple machine

Today I did a comic about Simple Machine I hope some people in my school made a simple machine.

Art

On wednesday after Lunch time Mr Ram came to our class to teach us art. We had to draw our sports person we could choose any sports. Then we painted it white then yellow then we had to do the outline black.   

So when we were done we had to cut the paper then put it on a blue piece of paper then clue it on. The staple on the white piece of paper. Then we stapled it up on the wall.

Maori lesson

Today after morning tea Ms Maude teached us a song. The song was called E TE ARIKI It was a Maori song here is the lyrics to the song. 

Boys morning 7 August 2017

On monday morning the boys in room 8 and 7 helped picked up the log. The boys had to lift the log all the way to the juniors. But I didnt want to because i wasnt strong and all the strong boys were there.
